On the Role of a Prompt in Teaching

The problem on the role of a prompt in teaching is discussed. The examples of the typical situations are shown when a teacher decides during a lesson the question on choosing a type of a prompt and on its measure.
 

About Forthcoming Redefinition of the Kilogram, Ampere, Kelvin and Mole in 2011

It is considered negative moments connected with the redefinition of the kilogram and ampere with use of fundamental physical constants - the Plank constant h and elementary charge e. Using as criterion the fine structure constant ±, the alternative variant is considered: to redefine the kilogram as "the mass of a specified number of carbon-12 atoms" and inside the fourth basic unit of the SI "the ampere" to use the unit of electric charge "the coulomb" (dim Q = Q). These transformations will make SI more perfect and harmonious system of units.

Formula for the Transition Field of Type - 1 Superconductor and the Nearest Problems in the University Textbooks on Physics

A survey of presentation of the question about SC - 1 transition into normal state, which was given in undergraduate textbooks on general physics and the physics of superconductors is carried out. The conclusion is made that the method of the substitution of the real currents magnetic fields onto the fictitious nuclear magnetization magnetic fields gives the simplification of the theme exposition.

Physics in the System of Intentional Learning of Students in Technical Universities

The study was performed on the results of experimental training of students in the technical universities on demand of the enterprises (so-called intentional learning). These results have been obtained on the evidence derived from the Technical State University over a period from 2000 to 2006 year. Our findings demonstrate that concentration of preliminary training on mathematics is not able to guarantee the successful study for the students of technical universities. But concentration on physics in suggested arrangement of extra training leads to more successful results of the education. In conclusion, mathematics as a "discipline of mind" plays an important role in the intentional learning of students in technical universities. However physics as a basis for engineering is a foundation of the intentional learning of students in technical universities.

The purpose of the given work was development of integrated system by remote support of studying of rate of the general physics for non physical specialties of technical colleges. The system which allows to operate effectively loading of an educational server is created and to spend full-scale training students at the rate of physics with use of various audio and video of the information. The system contains not only the theoretical material illustrated by animated figures, but also laboratory works - demonstrations which performance allows a trainee to understand a theoretical material better. Besides the complex allows students will learn to solve problems, and also has functions of the control of mastering of a studied material and skills of the decision of problems. A module of gathering of statistics available in system allows creating and processing various kinds of reports what to do managerial process of training effective.

To Question about Realization of Principle of Professional Orientation at the Controlled from Distance Teaching Physics of Future Engineers

Principle of professional orientation is one of leaders in pedagogic of higher professional education. However as an analysis of scientifically-methodical literature shows today a question about realization of this principle in distance teaching of physics of future engineers is still unsolved. Therefore before a theory and method of teaching of physics of students of technical institutes there is a necessity of search of, psychological - pedagogical theory (conception, idea), wish can expose theoretical bases of realization of principle of professional orientation in distance teaching of physics with the use of informational communicational technologies. As a theoretical basis the author offers to use Mrs. Talyzina's idea, according to specialists' training are considering as the system of problems (tasks) which arises before the future engineers after their graduation, but to solve which they are obliged while their education in the institute.

The Clement and Desormes method for measuring the relation the heat capacities
g= /CVis considered in order to include the condition for the number of the particles in system to be constant. The new formulae derived leads to the more precise results of the measurement. The experimental setting in this case is no more complicated then usual one.

Investigating with the help of an electronic oscillograph transients in the electric circuits having identical active resistance, but various inductance (L=0; L=/0), it is evidently shown, that at closing of a circuit appears EMF of a self-induction µsi< 0, and at disconnection of circuit - µsi > 0.
