Physics in Higher Education 3 Geometrical Ideas as a Method of Theoretical Physics Construction and Study
Abstracts Geometrical Ideas as a Method of Theoretical Physics Construction and Study In this article the application of the method of geometric ideas in the methodic of teaching of classical mechanics, classical physics and quantum physics is considered. The correspondence of different kinds of mechanics to specific space manifolds is analyzed in details. Conceptual Foundations of Natural Science Education of Arts Students in Terms of the Federal State Educational Standard The article deals with the concept of natural science education of arts students. The purposes of natural science education, which is the part of graduates’ professional training, are determined according to the competencebased approach. The leading ideas, the basic principles, and the basic points of the concept are emphasized. The presented model specifies informative, technological, organizational and methodological aspects of natural science education, involves the change of the assessment system of expected results. Formation Competence as a Mean a Matrix of Designing Program of Educational Discipline The paper presents the results of applying the competency approach to establish a program of discipline «Physics» with the condition of continuity with the previously adopted standards, as well as the technique of developing a program of discipline with a matrix of competencies. Use the program to build a matrix of competencies enables an objective assessment of the role of a specific discipline in the preparation of undergraduate and best use of its opportunities in the formation of the modern engineer. Matrix Method of Forming the Program Disciplines «Physics» In this paper we propose a method for the discipline, based on a matrix of competencies and analyzed the relationship between the content of the modules and disciplinary competencies. Use the program to build a matrix of competencies enables an objective assessment of the role of a specific discipline in the preparation of undergraduate and best used to enjoy its features in the formation of the modern engineer. Study Guide Manual to Form and Implement Competences Oriented School Graduate Personality The article considers the academic guide based on the personalitycentered approach of the teaching craft and its influence on the school graduate skills. The author came up with methods of organization and educational process management either for the secondary school or the high school. There is a visual stepbystep educational process and the opportunities at every level to return to the previous one for the teaching process adjustment and control. A Few Words about Instructor’s Role for a Workshop on General Physics on the Junior Courses of the Universities The article expounds the authors’ views on the instructor’s role in the contemporary physics workshop. The central idea of the publication is that the physics workshop actually allows to the instructor, regarded as educator, pedagogue and research physicist, to participate in formation of creative personality of the student as a future research scientist. About Newton’s First Law The contents of 1st law of Newton and the critic of Newton’s own formulation of the low are discussed. It is shown that the basic debatable questions are removed if consistently to apply the concept of a relativity of motion. Thus the original formulation of the law as Newton has formulated, reveals as more logical, substantial, methodologically consecutive. The alternative formulation of the law offered for the purpose of improvement, from the point of view of a movement relativity appears physically empty. Experimental Observation of Zeropoint Oscillations Results of experiments on electronvibrational spectra of molecules with different isotopes (isotopeeffect) are presented, that unequivocally testifying to existence of zeropoint energy of harmonic oscillator. It is also shown that existence of zeropoint oscillations is distinctly found out in measurements of Xray diffraction scattering from crystals and in temperature dependence of the probability of the Mossbauer effect. Wave Properties of Electrons in Nanoobjects The purpose of this paper is to give an overview of experimental investigations of the wave properties of electrons using nanotechnology devices. Opportunities of a scanning tunneling microscope (STM) to create on the surface of the conductors twodimensional quantum structures – quantum corrals consisting of individual atoms are discussed. The important role of STM in the study of surface electron waves, the de Broglie waves observed in these structures is noted. Necessity to include sections on physical principles of nanotechnology in General Physics course in Technical Universities is indicated. A Theorem on the Uniform Distribution of Energy over the Degrees of Freedom In the model of a diatomic ideal gas considered the mechanism of establishing the equilibrium distribution of energy over the degrees of freedom. Upon impact of a diatomic molecule (rotator) the wall thermostat reaction force acting on the molecule, changing the velocity of translational motion of the center of mass of the molecule, its angular velocity and speed of the internal motion of atoms in the molecule, which leads to certain relations between changes in the velocities. It turns out that these relations do not depend on the specific type of shock forces, they derive the most general principles of mechanics. In essence, the strike force “bind” various degrees of freedom, which ultimately leads to a correlation between the energies associated with various degrees of freedom. Lab «Study of Continuous Generation CO2 Laser Spectrum» This article is for the technical university professors of physics for organization of student more deep knowledge of laser function using cw CO2 laser. The laboratory work was developed by researchers of MIPT general physic department. It may be reproduced in student laboratory of any high technical school. Physical Formulas Visually Analyzed in Point of Bend The method of transformation of formulas of functional dependence to type visually analyzed in point of bend is discussed. The method is applied to the van der Waals equation and the FermiDirac distribution. Kinematic Particle Liquid Ratio in its Deformation Moving In the work are analyzed all aspects of the conclusion of the equation of indissolubility on the basis of ideas N.E. Zhukovskiy about the model of the particle of liquid. It is in particular shown that the introduction of a change of the density of liquid into the equation of indissolubility is incorrect from the position of the kinematic relationships of material point, which occur in the classical mechanics. Memristors: Essence, Analogs, Imitators and the Perspectives of Creation It is demonstrated that the real memresistivity, in the sense of Chua, is realized in the system of coupled oscillating contours, wich figure of merit and relaxation time are depended from the frequency and the power of influence. The mechanical analogs of memresistivity and its different imitators, in particular, Williams’s memristor are considered. The conclusion is made on the memristive behavior of DNA. The point of issue may be used at the education. Teaching Physics at the Technical University: from the Traditional Problems in the Formation of Jobs at the Project Level On concrete examples the technique of projects based on common tasks at seminars in physics at the Technical University. As a result of the proposed model designprojecting activity of students is a practical and focused on creating some semblance of technical and pedagogical product. Inertial Navigation Teaching Methods for Students of PhysicalTechnical Institute Methodological aspects of the special course on physicalmathematical fundamentals of inertial navigation theory are considered. The special course is intended for students of one whole group of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) before it’s divided into subgroups on the basis of graduating departments. Computer Learning Experiment «Study of Thermal Electron Emission» In this paper we describe the learning computer experiment on thermal electron emission: model of emission from surface of metal, creating of volume change and electric field in the interelectrode space. We describe the employment of this computer experiment to create of multiple student labs.
