Ecological Education at Physics Department of Moscow State University

Problems of a higher school are discussed in connection with ecological danger, caused by catastrophically growing an thropogenic influence on a nature. The necessity of the ecologically oriented amplification set of higher school is emphasized. The basic principles and ways for realization of this task are formulated using as an example the ecological education at the physics department of Moscow State University.
Connection between Deterministic and Stochastic Description in the General Physics Course

Attention is drawn to the insufficiency of the discussion in a frame of the general physics course of the question of nonequilibrium statistical description of complex physical system. It is suggested a sufficiently simple and general way of the description of this kind. This way is based on the master equation for the nonequilibrium distribution function and contains as the limiting case the strongly deterministic description.
About the Analogy between Methods of Scientific Research and Education Methods
Application of the methods of scientific investigations in education process are considered and the examples illustrating an opportunity of an effective utilization of these methods are presented.

On the Realization of the New Program of the General Physics Course
The experience related to the realization of the physics course, recommended for technical high school in 1988, is presented. It is organized the complex process of studying of the physics course starting from the lyceum and specialized classes of physics and mathematics. Most extensively the principles of organization of the independent work of students are described.
Laboratory on the Investigation of Phase Birefringence Plates
Crytallooptics is the most difficult section of the general physics course for high school students. In laboratory practice in general physics course usually the exercises on the experimental investigation of phase plates properties with a half- and quarter-wave one-axis crystals are absent. In wave optics practice of Tambov State University these experimental works are successfully realized in a centimetric range of electromagnetic waves (l = 3.2 cm).
A simple method for creation of computer demonstrations working under the management Windows is offered. It is based on use of the commands of the standard programs of a package Microsoft Office. It is illustrated by some examples of computer demonstrations on the basis of a spreadsheet Excel.
Physics Education with Telecommunication Support

Based on the high speed performance (100 Mbps) Information computer network of Physics Department at MSU the lecture courses telecommunication support system were created. The system steps development and its realization with the technical and technology adaptation to teaching tasks of university courses of general physics and special disciplines which are needed in IT support is described.
The development of the educational courses "General Physics", "Geophysics and Ecology", "Astrophysics and Space Physics", "World Culture History" and "History of Russia" are presented as a permanently complemented catalogs of global information blocks. The set of network educational information blocks suggested to students as additional learning materials for out of auditorium works were developed.
Computer Interpretation of Maxwell's Distribution in Ideal Gas
From the moment of its creation the kinetic theory of ideal gas was built under the assumption that a gas as a physical body consists of the discrete structure and chaotic movement of discrete particles, forming it. To create "Physics of a discreteness" that is to give a general and exact way of the quantitative description of a movement of these particles, it is necessary to use statistical and computing methods of the theory of probability.
The listed features of the kinetic theory allow to apply successfully the computer facilities for a kinetic process simulation. Opportunity of an easy -to- grasp visualization of results at any stage of a process of the Maxwell's distribution transition to a steady state is provided by the logic scheme selfconsistency under including in it the probability theory methods.
Creation Experience of the Physics Video Book
Creation experience of the video book on physics problems is described. The video book uses a principle: "It is better once to see, than hundred times to hear". The teacher demonstrates some phenomena and the students observe them as they exist in a nature and have to decide by themselves what physical values are required to be measured for the quantitative description of the phenomena. The pupil thus passes a way of a scientist - researcher: observation of the phenomenon, surprise, its mathematical description, and recommendations for practical use.
Study of Interrelation between a Structure and Properties of a Solid State at Physics Department of Pedagogical High Schools
Opportunities now of research abilities development of the students are analyzed the process of study of a solid state physics course. It is shown, as it can be made under study of a problem of interrelation of a structure and properties of a solid state as a central goal of the course. The contents and technology of organization training- research work of the students are determined to study of the above problem.
Theorem of a Movement of the Centre of Mass (Methodical Aspects of Its Interpretation)
Methodical aspects of the problem of internal interaction influence on to the movement of the centre of mass are considered. It is illustrated with the help of Kepler problem for two point mass connected by the elastic interaction .
Shortcomings of the School Training for Entering Examinations of Technical High School
Results of entring examinations on physics held in Moscow State Automobile and Road Institute are analyzed and the typical shortcomings characteristics of school teaching of physics are outlined. The general trend to the aggravation of the training of school-leavers is revealed.
